Watchdog Flasher

Turns your MeshCore/Tastic, or any nRF52840 board into a SteamVR watchdog dongle.

1 Valve radio firmware

Pick the file gd_*_dfu.zip from your SteamVR folder:
…/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/drivers/indexhmd/resources/firmware/radio/

Drop gd_1558748372_dfu.zip here, or click to choose

Go to your SteamVR folder.

2 Board in UF2 mode

Double-tap the board's reset button until a drive (e.g. RAK4631, T1000-E) appears. If the board is running normal firmware you can try:

Chrome / Edge only (File System Access). Choose the drive folder and allow editing.

⚠ If your board doesn't support UF2 mode (no drive appears), you'll have to flash a UF2 bootloader first.

3 Flash

⚠ This will flash firmware to your board, replacing what is on it now.

4 Verify

The board should reboot as 28de:2102 “Valve VR Radio”. If it doesn't appear after ~20 s, unplug and re-plug it (don't double-tap).
